The Park is infamous for its treacherous sandbanks to which many ships have fallen prey. It boasts some of the most breathtaking pristine landscapes in Namibia with striking colours and textures. The park has a wide variety of plants and animals including desert adapted elephants, rhino, lions and giraffe roaming the dry river bed.
